Welcome dance presenters, Capital of Dance is the world’s first fringe festival, specialising in dance, movement and physical theatre. 14 June to 14 July 2025

Blackpool, the UK’s first, largest and most popular seaside resort, is the UK’s Capital of Dance, attracting 18.2m visitors annually.

Blackpool is synonymous with dance. No matter your experience level, Capital of Dance welcomes all genres and styles, embracing the universal language of dance. It is for those taking their very first steps with new performances, as well as internationally renowned artists and dance companies.

We invite dance, cabaret, musicals, circus and physical theatre performance applications to enrich our programme. The festival makes it easy for choreographers and dance companies to run workshops or taster sessions. We welcome dance productions, suppliers, exhibitions, social ball creators, disco hosts, and event organisers.

 

COD 2025 Key Dates

Capital of Dance Festival Dates 2025

Capital of Dance 2025 will take place mid-June to mid-July in multiple venues across Blackpool  from 14th June to 14th July 2025

Registration Window- Now Open

Applications are now open for Capital of Dance 2025. The registration period is from 1st June 2024 to 1st March 2025.

All applications for 2025 are made on Eventotron. It’s free to apply.

Once you have filled in the short application form, it’s not just a form submission. It’s the start of a personal conversation with the Capital of Dance team as we get to know you and your unique dance journey.

The Capital of Dance team will help you find the right venue partner and advise you on presenting in Blackpool.
