DESCRIPTION
NYDC are beginning to look for young dancers to join the company and work with us during 2024-25 with our Guest Artistic Director, Boy Blue.
If you haven’t heard much about National Youth Dance Company (nydc.org.uk) — we create and perform innovative and influential dance, bringing together the brightest talent (age 16-18 or up to 24 if d/Deaf or disabled) from across England to work intensively with the Sadler’s Wells renowned Associate Artists and visiting companies. This is done through residencies across the UK during school holidays and a national tour in July.
If you love any kind of movement style these workshops are a chance to meet the team and get a taste of what it is like to be an NYDC dancer. We would love to meet you!
We are in Blackpool and are holding two free workshops on:
Sunday, 23rd June 2024.
11 am – 1 pm (Ages 11-15)
2 pm – 4 pm (age 16-18, or up to 24 if d/Deaf or disabled) *this workshop is also a first-stage audition for anyone who wants to become a company member.

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Stageworks Worldwide Productions, is passionate about nurturing talent and sharing her love for theatre. She has generously donated the studio for Sadler Wells’ open workshops during the Capital of Dance 2024 event, showcasing her commitment to fostering aspiring performers.
